Passage: Read Psalm 147-150.

My thought this morning comes from a combination of thoughts from Psalm 148 and Psalm 150. Psalm 148 tells all kinds of created things and people to "Praise the Lord." That includes the heavens, angels, sun, moon and stars, the earth, sea creatures, weather, mountains, hills, fruit trees as well as animals, kings and all peoples including young and old, men and women and children. They are all to praise the Lord. Each one praises God in a different way according to its nature, the way it was created. The sun praises God different than the mountains. The old men praise him different than children. Then in Psalm 150 we are told to take all kinds of instruments, strings, percussion and wind instruments to praise him along with dance. In other words, God is worthy of all of our praise so praise him with whatever created things you can find and with your entire voice and body. You and I were created to praise God but each in a unique way, according to the way he created us. Let us use everything we are and have to praise him to our fullest this day! The greatest joy is when we are gathered together and put all of this into a unified harmony of praise to our great God! Let's plan to do that this Sunday morning!
